INTRODUCTION
“Who do men say that I the Son of Man am?” Matthew 16:13.

“And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:16.

The church of God is built on the solid Rock, our Lord Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 2:19-22. Right from the Old testament we see Jesus presented as the solid Rock of God.  Moses was instructed to speak to this Rock to bring forth water for the Israelites to drink in the Wilderness. Instead, He smote the Rock out of anger and that was the major reason he was allowed to see the Promised Land but barred from entering it.
The Church is built on the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Messiah.  He is not dead but alive forevermore.  Revelation 1:18. He is resurrected and is seated at the Right hand of God the Father. He is the Head and we are His body so we as His body are seated in Him in heavenly places. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Hebrews 13:8.

Jesus is the second Adam. The first Adam fell as a result of sin and brought sin into the world to destroy mankind. The second Adam, Jesus, came to the earth as a man reconcile man back to God. This reconciliation had a huge cost.  It cost Him His life as He hung on the Cross of Calvary to reconcile man back to his maker God.
We should always thank God for the sacrifice that Jesus made for us on the Cross. We should also always take advantage of the benefits that derive to us as children of God through Jesus’ hanging on the Cross. We must not allow this ultimate sacrifice to be in vain. You may be thinking, “What are these benefits?” We will now look at these.

BENEFITS THAT WE DERIVE FROM JESUS HANGING ON THE CROSS
1.Jesus chose to lay down His life for mankind thereby fulfilling His purpose for coming to the earth.
2. He was whipped mercilessly on the Cross. Now by these stripes we can receive healing.
3. The blood that He shed on the Cross, cleanses, sanctifies, delivers and heals us.
4. It empowered Him to go to hell, dispossess the devil and his cohorts and take possession of the key of death and hell.

FACTS ABOUT THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST

1.    The revelation of Jesus starts with salvation.  It can only come to you after you have received Him by faith as your Lord and Savior. Salvation transforms you into being a child of God.
2.    Jesus wants to reveal Himself to every man. So He continuously knocks on the doors of man’s heart until we open and let Him in.
3.    Everyone needs their own personal encounter with Jesus.
God has to reveal Himself to you personally through His Son. Apostle Paul had such an encounter and it transformed his life as we can see from his testimony in the Bible. Acts 26:12-19. Then your faith is not based on what others are saying about Him but what you have experienced in your encounters with Him. Luke 24:44-45. Acts 1:1-3. It took such an encounter for Apostle Thomas to believe that Jesus had indeed risen from the dead. And from that point he changed, saying:

"My Lord and my God." John 20:19-28

I had mine in my room in Atlanta, GA in 1991. What about you? Have you had that encounter?
4.    The revelation of Jesus Christ is progressive.
You will continue to get fresh and new revelations everyday as you seek Him through the study of the word; fasting; and prayers.
5.    The revelation of Jesus Christ is not for you to seat on.  You have to run with and act on what Lord Jesus tells you. Paul obeyed the heavenly vision that he was given. Acts 26:12-21.

Prayers:
1. Lord Jesus, this year reveal yourself to me more than ever before, in the name of Jesus.
2. O that I may know you Lord Jesus and the power of your resurrection.

WHAT ARE THE IMPLICATIONS OF ALL THAT WE HAVE DISCUSSED HERE FOR YOU?

1.    All power in heaven and earth have been given to Jesus. Matthew 28:18. Jesus has delegated this power and authority to me and to you as Christians.  Luke 10:19.
2.    The name of Jesus is above every other name. Philippians 2:9.
3.     Jesus has the keys of heaven and of hell.
He went down and secured the keys after He died on the Cross. He has also the keys of David to open and to close all doors. Revelation 1:9, Revelation 3:8.
4.     The Blood of Jesus is most powerful weapon that we have as Christians.
When the enemy sees it, he has to pass over you. That means that for anyone to kill you, he has to kill Jesus all over against first. Revelation 12:11.

Prayers
1.    Blood of Jesus work for me.
2.    Blood of Jesus throw confusion into the camp of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.

5.    Getting your own personal revelations, drives away doubt and fears; and lifts away burdens.
6.    We are complete in Christ, who is the head of all principalities and power.
Colossians 2:9-10.
7.    Personal encounters make your faith jump out.
8.    Christianity should be about what you can give rather than what you can receive.
Your daily desire should be to be like Jesus.  He should be your hero in character, loving others, compassion, giving without expecting anything back, thinking, walking, and in moving in power and anointing. Your watchword should be:

“It is no longer I that liveth but Christ that liveth in me.” Galatians 2:20.
